About Nadja

Nadja leads our Spain practice team, mostly by helping American and European companies in their foreign direct investments into Spain and Germany, and by assisting European companies with their foreign direct investments into the United States and Latin America. Nadja works out of Barcelona and Seattle, with frequent trips to Madrid, Los Angeles, and Miami as well.

Nadja has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, real estate, private civil law, wills and probate, and international investments. With three law degrees and licenses to practice law in Germany, Spain, and the United States, Nadja is uniquely equipped to help our clients navigate cross-border transactions and legal disputes.

Nadja works fluently in German, Spanish, and English (she also speaks French and Catalan), and she has lived and worked as a lawyer in both the U.S. and Europe. She applies her broad legal knowledge and her experience from working in different work cultures to help our clients achieve their international business goals.

Multinational Expertise

Before joining Harris Sliwoski in 2004, Nadja was an attorney in Spain, primarily helping U.S., German, and French companies navigate Spain’s legal terrain. After splitting her time between Seattle and Barcelona for several years, with frequent trips to Germany as well, Nadja became the lead attorney in our Barcelona office.

Nadja has published on getting a United States court judgment enforced abroad and she frequently speaks before lawyer groups on international investment and cross border dispute resolution issues. Her multinational expertise has earned her an elite rating on Avvo as a “Superb” attorney.

Nadja was born and grew up in Herzberg, East Germany. She spends her spare time relaxing with family and friends, doing yoga and seeking out Barcelona’s best restaurants.
