Christian Sederberg is a seasoned business lawyer, policy advisor, and nationally recognized cannabis industry leader. Based in Denver, Colorado, he advises entrepreneurs, companies, and domestic and international operators on corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and public policy strategy. His practice focuses on helping clients navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional cannabis frameworks in the United States and abroad.
Christian’s work spans corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and government affairs. He regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate governance, real estate transactions, and complex state and federal conflicts of law.
Christian is widely recognized for his role in shaping cannabis policy in the United States and internationally. He played an integral role in the passage of Colorado’s Amendment 64 and was appointed by then-Governor John Hickenlooper to the Amendment 64 Implementation Task Force. He also served on the executive committee of the Committee for Responsible Regulation, helping establish Colorado’s adult-use cannabis tax framework. Beyond Colorado, Christian has advised local, state, federal, and foreign governments on the development and implementation of medical and adult-use cannabis programs.
Nationally Recognized Cannabis Industry Leader
Christian began his career in corporate finance at a Fortune 500 company before entering private practice, where he focused on complex real estate and corporate transactions. In 2010, he co-founded Vicente Sederberg LLP (now Vicente LLP) and served as managing partner for more than a decade, helping guide both the firm and the broader cannabis industry through a period of rapid growth. He has also held numerous leadership roles across the cannabis industry, including serving on the board of the National Cannabis Industry Association, as Chairman of the Board and Interim CEO of the Cannabis Trade Federation, and as Chairman of the Board of the United States Cannabis Council.
