Business Litigation Attorney

Harris Sliwoski LLP is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our growing Oregon practice. We represent clients across a wide range of industries in complex commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and cross-border challenges. This role offers the opportunity to build a diverse litigation practice with the support of a collaborative, nationally recognized legal team.

What You Will Do

You will work with a wide range of clients, from closely-held Oregon businesses—including cannabis companies—to foreign parties, particularly Asia-Pacific companies.

• Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout Oregon, and support litigation in other jurisdictions based on firm needs and your availability
• Handle contract, IP, international, cannabis, and business-tort disputes; shareholder and LLC member matters; preliminary injunction work; cross-border judgment enforcement and collections; and regulatory investigations with a commercial focus
• Manage all phases of litigation: investigation, pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations
• Advise clients on litigation strategy and risk management
• Collaborate with colleagues in our Portland and Seattle offices and across international networks
• Engage in business development and maintain strong client relationships

What We Are Seeking

• 5+ years of litigation experience focused on commercial or business disputes
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working in a team environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in contributing to the firm’s growth in the region

How We Work

Hybrid: 2–3 days in our Portland office. Fully remote within Oregon available for the right candidate, with in-person appearances as needed.
Billables: 1,500-hour target; BD, pro bono, and firm initiatives receive credit.
